Earlier perimeter awareness for data centers
Detect real threats earlier across long fence lines, service roads, buffer zones, and outdoor infrastructure. SightLogix combines thermal detection, precise target location, and automatic visual tracking so security teams can decide what needs a response.
Turn perimeter activity into an actionable alert
A data center campus is a large outdoor site watched by a security team that is also watching everything else. An alarm that reports motion somewhere along the perimeter starts an investigation. An alert that identifies a person or vehicle, locates it on the site, and shows its direction of travel gives the operator a clearer basis for action.
SightLogix handles that sequence as one connected system:
- Detect Thermal cameras find activity day or night, without visible light.
- Locate Each target is mapped to a real position on the site.
- Classify Geospatial rules and thermal AI separate real events from background motion.
- Track The system follows the target as it moves.
- Respond Operators get a located alert and visual confirmation of the same event.
What changes for the security team
Earlier warning
Long-range thermal detection gives operators more time to assess activity before it reaches a building, outdoor power system, or other protected asset.
Fewer nuisance alarms
Geospatial filtering removes motion that does not match a valid target before purpose-trained thermal AI classifies the event.
Less installation infrastructure
Reliable detection across a wide field of view can reduce the poles, trenching, network drops, and maintenance points required around a large campus.
Detect the events that matter
SightSensor analyzes raw thermal data inside the camera before the video is compressed for display. Primary detection does not require a round trip to a server or the cloud. The camera first checks a target’s real-world position, size, and movement, then applies thermal AI classification. This order helps preserve detection sensitivity while filtering vegetation, wildlife, weather, and other background motion. SightLogix reports up to 95% fewer nuisance alarms.

Know where the target is and plan coverage around the site
Every detected target is mapped to its real-world location, with size, speed, direction, and bearing. Those coordinates support consistent detection rules across the field of view and let SightTracker PTZ follow the same target automatically.
Detection range also affects project scope. In the data center design described in the executive brief, wide-area coverage required 25 to 30% less camera infrastructure than a conventional deployment. The four-camera SightSurvey map shown here is one site-specific design, not a universal camera count. It illustrates how coverage, blind spots, and installation points can be modeled against actual campus geometry.

Verify the same event visually
When SightSensor detects and locates a target, SightTracker PTZ moves to those coordinates, zooms in, and keeps the subject in frame. The operator can compare the thermal detection with a visible view instead of searching a large outdoor scene manually. Primary detection remains on the camera. Remote notification, recording, and operator response still depend on the connected systems available at the site.

Data center security in practice
Industry perspective
“For securing data centers and energy facilities, visibility across the entire perimeter is crucial — SightLogix’s system provides situational awareness beyond what most companies can offer.”
Selected by a global hyperscaler
A global cloud hyperscaler invited security manufacturers to compete in an evaluation of probability of detection, nuisance alarms, deployment, and interoperability with existing systems. SightSensor was selected for the resulting design, which SightLogix reports was then deployed at the operator’s data centers in North America and other regions through certified integrators.
98% Detection accuracy in the evaluation
30% Less camera infrastructure in the resulting design
