Critical energy systems demand optimal protection. Highly publicized attacks on substation perimeters bring a sensor of urgency around the need for perimeter protection for electrical utilities, and help prevent unauthorized access, theft, and acts of sabotage. Our guide breaks down the issues and explains how smart thermal and visible intruder detection solutions can improve the utility protection, reduce risks, and ensure uninterrupted operations.

(March 23, 2023 – Princeton, NJ USA) Today, SightLogix introduces the SightTracker PTZ, a smart camera with Edge AI that automatically zooms and follows outdoor intruders with fast, on-target responsiveness. By embedding SightTracker™ software and AI classification analytics inside our high-performance PTZ, the camera automatically tracks targets without latency or the network delays inherent in other PTZ solutions.

The SightSensor TC4 is a dual-imager smart camera that combines the power of thermal detection with the power of visible color to detect targets with exceptional reliability over critical, industrial, and commercial perimeters.

Dual Sensor Analytics (DSA) is an innovative capability developed by SightLogix to improve intruder detection outdoors. DSA intelligently compares the results from both thermal and visible sensors simultaneously to deliver trusted alarms in difficult outdoor situations.

The new 384×288 NS4 line delivers 44% more pixels than 320×240 cameras, offering wider intruder detection coverage and a clearer thermal image, at costs that make them a compelling solution for protecting critical, industrial and commercial perimeters.

SightSurvey uses Google Maps to create a perimeter security design on any facility to address typical intrusion detection issues — like camera blind spots and terrain conditions — and determine vulnerabilities.

Given the unique characteristics that are part of cannabis grow operations – large applications, often outdoors, where lighting and conditions are difficult to control – Aurora turned to SightLogix to help solve their cannabis security challenges.

Thermal cameras, when combined with video analytics, are the best way to detect people in the outdoors. But not all thermal cameras are the same. SightSensors are engineered with processing capabilities that earn their reputation for detection performance.
